- 01Life cast
- A mold taken from a living person’s head or face and used to make a positive form for sculpting or prosthetic work.
- 02Foam master
- A durable positive copy of a head form used as a base for later sculpting; the federal record describes Don Post Studios as owning one of Shatner’s head.
- 03Retail mask
- A mass-produced mask sold to the public, as distinct from a one-off production prop.
- 04Hero mask
- The principal mask used for close or important photography; the term distinguishes it from reported stunt copies.
- 05Screen-used
- An object documented as having appeared during filming, not merely the same model or a later replica.
- 06Provenance
- The documented chain of ownership or custody used to support an object’s identity and history.
- 07Claim grade
- This site’s visible label for how well a statement is supported: established, reported, disputed, or myth.
